My Comment on the selection.
The power of our Archangels is often overlooked. In the modern world we tend to either romanticize or ignore this part of our heritage. Some churches even discount angles as a relic of a bygone time when superstition ruled the mind of our ignorant ancestors, preferring instead to concentrate on personal relationships, salvation, and fundraising💲.
Yet there is a latent force that resides in angelic belief. This is part of the the unconscious landscape. Dr. Carl Jung “…theorized the existence of a collective unconscious in which ‘primordial images’ and ‘archetypes’ were innate in every human being. Jung believed that religion represented a fundamental element of the psychotherapeutic process. Angels and spiritual beings are a part of this process.”‡
Without getting too deep into the weeds, the “collective unconscious” (kollektives Unbewusstes) is a concept pioneered by Jung that is the sum of all the symbols created by the culture that serve as metaphors for shared concepts. It is believed by many to reside in the soul as part of the operating system for the field of consciousness and provides us with an archive of data through dreams as well as altered and meditative states.
The archangel is a towering celestial being whose job it is to rule over the vast reaches of time⌛ and space that surround our little dark corner of the cosmos. Guardians of the unseen world who intersects this sorrowful rock that we live on the Archangel sets the stage for the numerous personal angels whose thankless task it is to companion with us.
In the Western Tradition there are seven Archangels by most reckoning (although some authors favor other numbers) each having their own attributes and duties. Their jobs are realized from ancient observations which have over the eons combined certain activities into affinity groups then personalized them into beings so they can be comprehended by humans.
All great cultures have something like Archangels in their thinking and to the extent that they recognize them is a indication of the achievement level the culture has obtained. In other words they are an expression of how well a given culture understands the existence of governing metaphors which preside over our affairs. Without this realization we are left in the miasma of the material world to muck around like the Divine Lady Sophia before her restoration guided only by our own rules ⚖.
For us sitting on this rock in space activities seem to happen very quickly. People are always on the move and it is difficult to get enough perspective or mental distance to “see” the greater picture as events unfold. Yet if we are quiet and persistent sometimes we can understand patterns blossoming in our mind. Related to the Subjective Effect Index (SEI) where people report non-ordinary states of consciousness, Angelic understanding could be a spontaneous level 8A experience where vast unconnected patterns become clear to the observer.** We are then on the threshold of witnessing the Archangels.
I have listed a summery of attributes for Zadkiel as far as we can determine although it will be up to us to add to this as we expand our understand provided the warmongers among us don't use their power to burn us out.

Zadkiel is considered the giver of gifts. He can represent abundance even to the point of recklessness at times.
A noble figure he distribute knowledge and law.
He is not concerned with worldly emotions rather he is interested in ideal emotions. He can be restorative and magnanimous.
Zadkiel was said to prevent Abraham from killing Issac

**A thorough discussion about Archangelic phenomenology will have to wait until more space can be devoted to the subject although it is likely to come out in pieces as I expand the meaning of the book The Other Road Ahead.
