The Hidden Hand of Good

My Comment

The 🦋Butterfly🦋 Effect: The butterfly effect is a theory to describe how small changes to a seemingly unrelated thing or condition can affect large, complex systems. Originally named by mathematician Edward Norton Lorenz this theory is related to the well known domino effect where one action can set forth a chain reaction of events.

Within human relations this activity is sometimes refereed to in the old-fashion saying, "A little bit of love goes a long way". The end result of performing some small act of kindness to our fellows is not something we can calculate. The consequences of lighten the load for a stranger who is having a bad day by a simple gesture of friendliness may have far reaching effects that will never be seen by us and is another expression of the perennial idea known as unconditional love 💖.

My friend from Merritt Island, Florida tells me that the vessel🚢 with the burden always has the right-of-way. Of course this makes sense in Maritime Law but shouldn't it make sense for people. If someone is carrying a great load in their life we can help clear the path for them. That is not to say pick up their responsibilities but we don't need to make it any more difficult. Each of us are blessed with our own difficulties to overcome yet through the hidden hands and support of others much good can be accomplished.

In the traditional study of cartomancy* the 3 of Hearts is called the “small wish card”. It can indicate that a small wish is granted. Something the seeker doesn't ever expect to happen will come true. It is a sign of spiritual or church intercession.

It is also a lovely reminder that we have one foot in the material world and the other foot in the miraculous. Helping others brings us closer to our Creator.

*Practitioners of cartomancy are generally known as cartomancers, card readers, or simply readers. It is an ancient study of seemingly random associations generated by cards in order to gain insight into a situation.
